Beginner Street Fighter 6 tips from a rock-bottom tier player

- Use pokes (long range attacks) to create distance between you and your opponent
- Use quick attacks for frame advantage and hit confirm opportunities
- Do most of your head-to-head fighting on the ground; only jump when you see a potential opening or if your character takes advantage of being in the air
- Spend your (special) meter, as much of it as possible before the final round is over
- Mind your drive gauge; only (intentionally) burn out if it can win you the round or at least give you a significant edge
- Try not to mash buttons, especially while being attacked (this negates any blocking)
- Start off with your character’s unique target combos (these are categorised as “unique moves” within the command list)
